REDMAGIC has officially confirmed that its next gaming tablet — expected to be called the REDMAGIC Gaming Tablet 5 Pro — will launch in China sometime in June 2026. The company teased the device during its recent REDMAGIC 11S Pro+ launch event.
While the exact launch date has not yet been announced, multiple reports suggest the tablet is now very close to release after clearing Chinese 3C certification.
Successor to the REDMAGIC Astra
The new Gaming Tablet 5 Pro will succeed last year’s Gaming Tablet 3 Pro, which launched globally as the REDMAGIC Astra gaming tablet. REDMAGIC is reportedly skipping the number “4” due to tetraphobia, a common practice among Chinese brands.
Global availability is also expected later, possibly under a different name like “Astra 2.” Reports suggest the international release could happen around July or August 2026.
