Facebook parent company Meta has reportedly struck a preliminary deal with Chinese conglomerate Tencent to sell a new, lower-priced version of its virtual reality (VR) headset in China. This move marks Meta’s re-entry into the Chinese market after being shut out for 14 years. The agreement will make Tencent the exclusive seller of Meta’s headsets in China, allowing Meta to compete with TikTok-owner Bytedance.
