Apple has launched a new promotional offer that can effectively get new Apple Card users a pair of AirPods Pro 3 for free — though there are several important conditions attached to the deal.
The promotion is designed to attract new Apple Card customers and is currently limited to people who open a brand-new Apple Card account during the promotional period.
How the Promotion Works
According to Apple’s official terms, eligible users must:
- Open a new Apple Card account
- Purchase AirPods Pro 3 directly from Apple by June 15
- Continue actively using the Apple Card over several months afterward
Rather than instantly giving away the earbuds, Apple reimburses users gradually through monthly “Bonus Daily Cash” rewards. Starting July 1, qualifying customers can earn:
- $25 Bonus Daily Cash per month
- For up to 10 months
- Totaling up to $250 overall
Since the AirPods Pro 3 retail for around $249, the cashback effectively covers most or all of the purchase price over time.
There’s a Catch
The biggest condition is that users must make at least 10 purchases every month using the Apple Card in order to receive each monthly $25 reward.
Additional restrictions include:
- Only new Apple Card users qualify
- Purchases must be made directly from Apple
- Refurbished products and third-party retailer purchases are excluded
- Existing Apple Card holders cannot participate
Apple also notes that the AirPods purchase itself does not count toward the required 10 monthly transactions.
Why Apple Is Doing This
The offer marks one of Apple Card’s most aggressive customer-acquisition campaigns yet. Apple Card traditionally avoided large signup bonuses and instead focused on simplicity, no annual fees, and deep integration with the iPhone Wallet app.
Industry analysts believe Apple is now trying to increase Apple Card adoption more aggressively amid growing competition in the credit card market.
The promotion also arrives during reports that Apple is restructuring parts of its financial-services partnerships after Goldman Sachs’ planned exit from the Apple Card business.
