NEW DELHI: Microblogging site Twitter is all set to launch a photosharing site, according to Web grapevine.
Quoting sources familiar with the matter, All Things D said that Twitter will announce a photo-sharing service at the D9 conference in Rancho Palos Verdes, California, this week. Twitter CEO Dick Costolo is set to speak at D9 on Wednesday.
Some analysts believe that photo sharing is the next logical step for Twitter to expand its in-app experience.
Recently, Twitter bought TweetDeck, a popular third-party software application that organizes tweets, the short messages delivered through the online social network.
Twitter, which allows people to send 140-character text messages, or tweets, to groups of followers is one of the Web’s most popular social networking sites along with Facebook and Zynga.
