Samsung has captured over 80% of the smartphone market share in South Korea in Q3 2023, according to Counterpoint data. The company’s success comes despite declining demand for high-end smartphones. Samsung sold around 3.4 million smartphones during this period, a 10% decrease from the previous year. The popularity of its latest foldable devices, the Galaxy Z Flip 5 and the Galaxy Z Fold 5, contributed to its market dominance. Apple also increased its market share in South Korea to 15% during this quarter.
