Chinese smartphone maker Oppo has announced a joint venture with camera manufacturer Hasselblad to co-develop the next generation of HyperTone camera systems. These camera systems, set to arrive in Oppo’s flagship models, promise to improve computational photography and offer high-quality images in both high and low-light conditions. The HyperTone camera system includes an all-main camera system, image engine, and ProXDR display, which records the brightness of 12 million pixels and unlocks up to eight times more dynamic range on-screen.
