NEW DELHI: Motorola has reportedly expanded its smartphone range in India with the addition of Motorola Fire. The smartphone has hit the Indian shores rather quitely. The Motorola Fire is priced at Rs 9,490.

The smartphone runs Android 2.3 Gingerbread and is powered by a 600 MHz Qualcomm Snapdragon S1 processor Adreno 200 GPU combo. It also includes 256MB of RAM and 512MB of ROM, a 2.8-inch QVGA display, a full QWERTY keypad and a 3 megapixel camera.

Motorola Fire comes with Moto Switch user interface, which allows users to switch to a friends-centric mode when they finish work and head home for the day.

Last month, the search engine giant said it would buy Motorola Mobility, the mobile phones division of Motorola Inc, for $12.5 billion in cash.
