NEW DELHI: Here’s a special mobile phone for all cricket lovers out there. LG has launches its limited edition Optimus One mobile phone for the ICC World Cup 2011. Called LG LP500, the Korean electronics giant is releasing only 1,000 units of the limited-edition smartphone.
LG LP500 sports a shiny gold World Cup logo on it back.
Running on Android 2.2 Froyo edition, LG LP500 comes packed with 3.15 MP camera and 2 GB memory card. The smartphone’s internal memory is 170 MB, is powered by a 600MHz processor and has a 3.2-inch capacitive touchscreen display with 320×480 resolution. On connectivity front, LG LP500 supports GPRS, EDGE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g and Bluetooth v2.1. The smartphone’s Android OS can be upgraded to version 2.3 Gingerbread.
The Optimus One smartphone has an automatically synchronized Google account and users need to log in only once into their Google account to automatically synchronise their mails and other settings and start using Gmail, Gtalk, YouTube, Google Maps, etc
Priced at Rs 12,990, LG LP500 is available across eight cities in India.
