NEW DELHI: Android users beware, there’s a new trojan on prowl that is reportedly capable of recording your conversation.

According to CA, the trojan records conversation after a user clicks the install button on a message that looks almost identical to the application’s installation screen. In a blog, CA researcher Dinesh Venkatesan has displayed screenshot of a message that seeks permission to record conversation.

Venkatesan writes that malware drops a ‘configuration’ file that contains information about the remote server and the parameters. He further states, “As the conversation goes on, the Trojan stores the recorded call in the devices’ SD card.”

Recently, some Android phone users were infected with a malware that sent text messages, made calls to premium numbers and leaked personal information about the user.

In a study, Juniper Networks found a 400 percent increase in Android malware since 2010. The report also warns users of targeted Wi-Fi attacks.
