Taiwanese PC giant Acer has unveiled a dual-screen tablet, Iconia Tab A500. The dual-screened tablet has two 14-inch screens made of Gorilla Glass that allow for typing, multi-touch and gestures.

The tablet is based on Google's Android Honeycomb operating system. Iconia A500 sports 2GB random access memory (RAM) and a 16 GB or 32 GB solid state drive (SSD). According to the company, Acer A500 and a second 7-inch model, A100, also use Nvidia's ARM based dual-core Tegra 250 processor, which runs at 1GHz.

Both the tablets have Nvidia's ultra-low power GeForce graphics processing unit (GPU). A500 is reportedly twice as thick as Apple iPad 2, at 13.3mm, and weighs 100 gm more at 700gm.

It will be available in Wi-Fi, 3G or both and will have a five-megapixel (MP) rear camera and a 2-MP front-facing camera for video chat.
